SHRC 
The official spokesman of the Syrian Human Rights Committee (SHRC) has called for the immediate release of the lawyer Muhanad al-Hasani, President of the Syrian Human Rights Organisation, and for an end to the extreme pressures measures practised against human rights activities in Syria.
He said, “the arrest of the colleague Muhanad al-Hasani on 28/7/2009 due to his activism in the area of human rights, and his defence of general liberties and human rights is absolutely unjustifiable.”
The spokesman concluded by calling upon the Syrian Authorities to allow general freedoms in the country, to stop all kinds of arbitrary and repressive arrests, and respect civil and human rights work.
