The Syrian Human Rights Committee (SHRC) has condemned the attack by American helicopters on peaceful Syrian citizens in the Al-Bukmal area within the Syrian borders on 26/10/2008.

The SHRC media spokesman has commented that “the attack carried out by American helicopters, and in which numerous innocent victims were killed is a violation of international laws, as well as a lack of respect to human dignity, whose soul shouldn’t be killed in such an arbitrary manner.”

 The media spokesman also called upon the United Nations to set up an enquiry into this event to collect the facts of the attack: its details, and the reasons for its killing of the individuals and families, as well as their compensation and the reasons why the attack was launched and the reassurance it will not be repeated again.
