SHRC 
The Syrian Human Rights Committee identified names of some detainees who have been released recently according to the amnesty issued by the Syrian president Bashar al-Asad. The amnesty included some 600 political detainees, some of them have spent almost two decades, others were detained last year. Thousands of detainees are still being held in jail, whose release is an urgent demand from president Bashar al-Asad and other influential Syrian authorities… It is worth to mention that all detainees in Syrian prisons are categorized as prisoners of opinion and conscience according to international standards. SHRC will provide lists of names and information about released detainees, and request all those who hold further information to contact SHRC by fax or e-mail.
