A closely related source has informed the Syrian Human Rights Committee today that the Syrian citizen Ussama Mohammed Ali al-Ello who lives along with his father and family in the UAE had been arrested upon his return to visit Syria on 4/9/2006

The source added that nobody knows the whereabouts of Ussama, neither the filed charges against him nor his fate since he was arrested two months ago.

SHRC requests the Syrian authorities to immediately release Mr. Ussama al-Ello and to terminate all forms of despotic arrests in Syria.
