The Syrian Human Rights Committee received the following letter from the Media Office of Hezb-ul-Tahrir about some of those who have been arrested for expressing their opinion in Syria in December 1999. SHRC demands the release of these citizens as well as all political and conscience detainees in Syrian jails, and confirms that suppression practised by security and Moukhabarat forces will never stop Syrians expressing their views and opinions in all current and crucial issues of the country:
