Call to Reveal the Fate of Detained Citizens from Al-Raqqah
SHRC

A source from the Syrian province of Al-Raqqah has reported that the citizens Hadi Mohammed al-Akaal (from the village of Al-Quneitra, Al-Raqqah province), and Faris Mohammed al-Alo, a teacher from Al-Raqqah were arrested by the Military Intelligence shortly after Eid al-Fitr in October 2008.

The Syrian Human Rights Committee (SHRC) calls upon the Syrian Authorities to reveal the fate of the two detainees, their location, the reasons for their detainment and their health conditions. SHRC also calls for their immediate release, if they have not committed any act that legally calls for their detainment. If this is the case, then they should be transferred to a court in which the requirements of a fair trial are fulfilled.
