Damascus Declaration sources in Aleppo, north Syria said that the teacher Ghazi Kaddour and the university student Hasan Kasim (28 years) a member of CDF, were summoned by the security branch in Aleppo to the State Security Department (General Intelligence) in Damascus on Wednesday 9th July 2008. Nothing was heard about them later, which means that they had been arrested. Both Kaddour and Kasim are members of the national council of Damascus Declaration.

The Syrian Human Rights Committee condemns this unjustified detainment and requests for their immediate release along with all prisoners of conscience in the Syrian prisons, and for the cease of all sorts of despotic and arbitrary arrests in Syria.
