More victims in Homs
Sources of field activists in Homs have reported that 3 civilians in the village of al-Buwayda al-Sharqiya and 2 in the village of Abel in the suburbs of Homs were killed due to random and intense shelling, which resulted in a large number of injured. The victims are: 1- Abdul Ilaah Ibrahim Mukhaibir (35 years) from Baba Amr 2- Abdul Hakeem Ma’an al-Wazeer (a child of 15 years) from Kafr ‘Aaya 3- Zahra Ghanoom (female, 33 years) 4- Ahmed Saif al-Din Hasoon 5- Badra Hasson (female)
In addition, it was confirmed that Huthaifa Baizeed, Mohammed Mansour and Ra’ad Ra’ad who were arrested previously at the Masraf barrier died. Mohammed Mansour was immediately killed after his arrest, whilst Ra’ad Ra’ad and Huthaifa Baizeed died under torture in the Military Security branch in Homs on 17 August. The three victims were buried in the Tal al-Nasr cemetery in Homs.
The Syrian Human Rights Committee (SHRC) calls upon the international community to take immediate and effective actions and measurements to stop the random shelling, arrests and torture which leads to death in Syria, and to investigate into all incidents of killing and massacres, and to bring their perpetrators to the international courts of justice immediately.
