Another Bloody Day: Friday 14/12/2012

On Friday 14/12/12, 108 victims fell in Syria as a result of the escalation violence perpetrated by the Syrian authorities against civilians, and which has been ongoing for twenty months.

Most civilians were killed when taking part in the peaceful protests which took place in some Syrian cities, on a Friday which was named, “No terrorism exists except the terrorism of Al-Assad.”

The forces of Bashar Al-Assad responded to these protests by firing on them, causing deaths and injuries among the protestors.

Among those who were killed, nine were children and five were women, in addition to a three month old baby killed with its mother in Bab al-Dreib in Homs.

As we document the escalating numbers of civilians being killed in Syria, the Syrian Human Rights Committee (SHRC) once again calls upon the international community to work for an immediate end to the continuous killing taking place in Syria, and to bring all criminals to justice.

Number of dead in each province:

Damascus and its suburbs: 49, among them 4 children and two women
Idlib: 21, among them a child
Aleppo: 11 among them a child
Daraa: 8, among them 3 children and a woman
Homs: 6, among them a women and a soldier
Deir Ezzor: 6
Hama: 4, among them a woman
Al-Quneitra: 2
Al-Hasaka: 1
