Victims of Sunday 23rd September 2012

The number of victims in Syria on Sunday 23rd September reached 220, amongst them 14 women and 12 children, in Damascus and its suburbs, Aleppo, Hama and Homs.

Syrian regime forces summarily executed tens of civilians and demolished their homes in the neighbourhood of al-Qadam, al-Hajar al-Aswad and Jobar.

In addition and following bombardment by the Syrian regime tanks and war planes on Mashaa’al-Arba’een in Hama, the Syrian Red Crescent pulled out 40 bodies from beneath the rubble.

And in Aleppo, nine civilians were killed in al-Maysar neighbourhood, and eight, mostly women and children, were killed in an air strike which targeted a bus full of passengers who were attempting to flee the bombardment.

The districts of al-Sakhoor, al-Marjah, al-Haidariyah, Bustan al-Basha and Masaakin Hanano were all subjected to bombardment by war planes and tanks, as well as the suburbs of Aleppo.

In Homs, bombardment on the old districts of the city continues, as well as the cities of Talbiseh, al-Qusair and al-Rastan.
