Urgent: Another Massacre in Deir Ezzor

The forces of Bashar al-Asad and its shabiha gangs have committed a massacre in al-Qusour neighbourhood in Deir Ezzor. After midnight on Friday 28th September, the abovementioned forces and gangs surrounded the neighbourhood, reinforced with tanks, and raided it, arresting many of its unarmed and peaceful youth from their homes and summarily executing them.

The number of those killed whose names have been documented are 19 civilians. They were killed in a variety of ways, including with knives, spears, and shooting at them from within close range.

The gangs and forces also burnt down many of the homes which had been left by families that had fled from the hellish and continuous violence perpetrated against them.

Abdul Kareem Yusuf Junaid/ Amjad Darweesh/ Brother of Amjad Darweesh: Ahmed Darweesh/Ismail al-Qadoor/ Ahmed Bin Ismail al-Qadoor/ Ashraf Sa’eed Rijan (a relief worker)/ Maher al-Sayid Taha/ Sameer al-Abdullah and his brother/ Mazin al-Abdullah and his brother/Hazim al-Abdullah/Abdul Latif Mohamed al-Awaad/ Ahmed Munir al-Shadad/ Mohammed Fayad al-Askar/ Mustafa al-Taha (a child)/ Bashar al-Salim/ His brother: Bashir al-Salim/ Amir al-Qarboon/ Hasan Baqjahaji/ His son: Nabil Hasan Baqjahaji

The Syrian Human Rights Committee (SHRC) repeats its condemnation of the war crimes perpetrated by the regime of Bashar al-Asad, and calls for these crimes to be presented at the international and specialised courts, and that the perpetrators are tried at the court, so that they can earn international justice for the actions they committed against humanity.
