Targeting Deir Ezzor with Shelling and Summary Executions

More than 34 civilians were killed yesterday, on the 1/9/2012 in the province of Deir Ezzor, as a result of arbitrary and savage shelling on the area of Albokmal, in which 17 civilians were killed, and the area of Muhasan, as well as summary executions in the Joorah Neighbourhood. Al-Baghliah was also subjected to violent shelling, leading to the death of a civilian. In addition and as a result of shelling, three women and three children were killed.
The names which have reached us of those killed yesterday and which will be added to the list of victims in this revolution for freedom and dignity include:
1- Mohammed Hikmat al-Sakin. Deir Ezzor, Albokmal: died as a result of shelling
2- Ibrahim Hasan al-Lateef. Deir Ezzor, Albokmal: died as a result of shelling
3- Talha Mohammed Khair al-Dibs- Albokmal: died as a result of shelling
4, 5 & 6- Unidentified victims due to the disfigurement of their bodies- Deir Ezzor, Albokmal: died as a result of shelling
7- Tal’at Ahmed al-Dibs- Deir Ezzor, Albokmal: died as a result of shelling
8- Ibrahim Hasan al-Khalaf- Deir Ezzor, Albokmal: died as a result of shelling
9- Mohammed Kamal al-Madeed al-Na’eemi, from the Free Syrian Army (FSA)- Deir Ezzor, Albokmal: died as a result of shelling
10- Ahmed al-Sheikh Atiah- Deir Ezzor, AlJoorah: was summarily executed in al-Joorah, following an explosion at the Bareed Gate.
11- Aamer Heeji- Deir Ezzor, al-Joorah: summarily executed after explosion at Bareed Gate.
12- Sufyan Abdul Rahman al-Taha- Deir Ezzor, al-Jilah- killed due to a bomb falling on his home
13- Hussein Jalal Karjoosleh- Deir Ezzor, Sheikh Yasin: due to shelling on the city
14- Nash’at Suleiman al-Mulla Salih- Deir Ezzor, Muhasan: due to shelling on the city
15- Ahmed al-Aliwi al-Askar (Abu Tharoot)- Deir Ezzor, Muhasan: due to shelling on the city
16- Maher Khidr al-Hadi (Abu Hamza)- Deir Ezzor, al-Qusoor: due to shelling on the city
17- Abdullah Muteiran al-Jareedi- Deir Ezzor: killed by a sniper at Bareed Gate
18- Bilal Hameed al-Mardood- Deir Ezzor, Albokmal: died as a result of shelling
19- Batool Suleiman al-Kayyal- Deir Ezzor, Albokmal; died as a result of reckless shelling on the city
20- As’ad al-Muslim al-Salih al-Hadeed- Deir Ezzor, Albokmal: died as a result of shelling on the city
21- Yasmin Nabigh al-Sayid Kareem- Deir Ezzor, Albokmal: died as a result of shelling
22- Rami Nabigh al-Sayid Kareem- Deir Ezzor, Albokmal: due to shelling
23- Wife of Nabigh al-Sayid Kareem- Deir Ezzor, Albokmal; due to shelling
24- Ahmed Bardan al-Suwain- Deir Ezzor, Albokmal: due to shelling
25- Kasir al-Kabeesi, 28 years- Deir Ezzor: died as a result of shelling on the city
26- Abdul Rahman Ayid Abdul Shawoosh, 13 years- Deir Ezzor, Muhasan: died as a result of army shelling on the city
27- Mahmoud Waka’ al-Hamoud, 13 years- Deir Ezzor, Muhasan: died as a result of army shelling on the city
28- Qutaiba Khaleel al-Fayij, 12 years- Deir Ezzor, Muhasan: died as a result of army shelling on the city
29- Mohammed Kassar al-Zahwu- Deir Ezzor, Albokmal: died as a result of shelling on the city
30- Malik Ahmed al-Farhan- Deir Ezzor, alJoorah: died due to shelling on the city
31- Dahaam al-Haajim- Deir Ezzor, al-Bagheeliyah; was killed in al-Qasoor neighbourhood due to shelling in the city
The Syrian Human Rights Committee (SHRC) strongly condemns the targeting of civilians through Rocket shelling and war planes, and considers this is a war crime, and renews its call to the International Community to take immediate measurements to protect civilians and take the perpetrators of these crimes to the international court.
