The Syrian Human Rights Committee (SHRC) has condemned the attack of a Bus carrying Syrian labourers in North Lebanon, which resulted in one death and three injuries.
Commenting on the incident, the SHRC Media Spokesman said, “This attack has targeted the lives of innocent, peaceful and civilian labourers, who have nothing to do with the political and sectarian disputes taking place in the region”. The Spokesman also called upon the Lebanese authorities to immediately work on discovering the perpetrators of this terrorist crime and taking them to court.
In addition, the spokesman called upon the Lebanese government to protect the lives of Syrian civilians in Lebanon, regardless of whether they are labourers, visitors or citizens that live in the country. The spokesman also warned against any certain groups of Syrian civilians being subjected to arrest, deportation, or killing based on the new agreements made between the Syrian regime and Lebanon, citing that this would be a clear violation of human rights and the international agreements signed upon.
