Horrific Massacre in al-Quriya

The air force of the Syrian regime committed a horrific massacre today, when it shelled a busy market in the village of al-Quriya in the province of Deir Ezzor. Eighteen civilians were immediately killed, amongst them 12 women and three children, whilst tens were injured.

The Syrian Human Rights Committee (SHRC) strongly condemns this barbaric act in the strongest terms, whilst also mourning the position of the international community which does not even move to stop these massacres. The United Nations is called upon to enact its international conventions and treaties, and stop the carnage and blood flowing in Syria, as well as the killing of unarmed civilians with no justification.
