New Massacre in Salahadin Neighbourhood in Aleppo
The Syrian authorities have committed a new massacre in the Salahadin neighbourhood in Aleppo. Forty-five bodies were found in the neighbourhood following the withdrawal of the regime troops, which points to the fact that they committed summary executions within a short distance against civilians. Some civilians were also killed with white weapons. Photos taken of the bodies reveal the brutal nature of the crimes committed against the civilians, including the dismembering of their bodies.
In addition to this and up to this hour, 74 civilians were killed today in Aleppo (out of an140 total across the country) as a result of intense air and ground shelling.
The weak international response, as well as the bias of some countries in providing assistance to the regime through technology, weapons, and fighters is resulting in a humanitarian crisis. It is incumbent upon the United Nations to take the necessary and immediate measures, as per the international agreements and conventions, to protect civilians, in addition to bringing the perpetrators of the war crimes mentioned to a specialised international tribunal.
