Urgent Call for the Release of Abdul Hafeez Abdulrahman and Nadira Abdu
SHRC

Based on the news released by a Human Rights Organisation in Syria- MAF- that two members of its trustees, Abdul Hafeez Abdulrahman and Nadira Abdu, were arrested this month in Aleppo by a patrol of the Military Intelligence; the Syrian Human Rights Committee (SHRC) expresses its deep concern over the treatment of human rights activists in Syria. Many have been been unjustifiably arrested, have had their homes raided, disappeared for long periods of time, treated in a dishonourable manner and have received repressive sentences of no legal basis.
SHRC calls for the immediate release of the two colleagues Abdul Hafeez Abdulrahman and Nadira Abdu and all human rights and general affairs activists in Syrian prisons and interrogation centres. SHRC also calls for an end to arbitrary and oppressive arrests, and unfair practices which affects the Syrian citizen in his/her daily life.
